Parliament, Sunday, 21 July 2024 – Parliament will tomorrow (22 July) convene a Joint Sitting of the National Assembly (NA) and the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) for President Cyril Ramaphosa’s reply to the debate on his Opening of Parliament Address by Members of Parliament (MPs).

The Joint Sitting will take place at 10h00 in a makeshift Chamber located at the Nieumeester parking lot (entrance at corner Roeland and Plein Street). The Joint sitting will be followed by the separate sittings of the National Assembly, at the same venue, and the National Council of Provinces, in its own usual chamber, at 14h00, to debate Parliament’s Budget Vote 2.

The NA sittings scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday this week will also be in the same venue.

The NCOP plenaries scheduled for this week, will take place in the NCOP Chamber.
