Parliament, Thursday 17 November 2022 - Parliament, in partnership with the South African National Aids Council (SANAC) will host a two-day National Men’s Parliament on Monday 21, and Tuesday, 22 November under the theme: “Takuwani Riime! Institutionalising a Responsive Men’s Movement.”

This third biennial sectoral Parliament, convened under the banner of the Takuwani Riime Men’s Movement, is a platform for men to discuss challenges faced by men with a special focus on the prevention of Gender Based Violence & Femicide and other social ills and tackling the spread of HIV/AIDS & TB.

Details of the National Men’s Parliament are as follows:

Date: Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 November 2022
Time: 10:00 on both days
Venue: National Council of Provinces Chamber, Parliament and Virtual platform

Members of the media who wish to physically attend the Men’s Parliament should send their details (full name, name of the media house, ID or passport number) to Masego Dlula on email: mdlula@parliament.gov.za by no later than 12:00 on Friday, 18 November.

Parliamentary meetings are open to the media and the public.
