Parliament, Monday, 7 November 2022 – The Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition together with the Minister of Small Business Development will tomorrow (8 November) appear before the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) to brief Members on plans to stimulate the economy in the country.

The virtual Ministerial briefing debate will be held under the theme: “Measures to unlock the full potential of the township economy and industries”

The Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition and the Minister of Small Business Development will be joined by the MEC’s from the nine provinces, who will update the NCOP on the status township economy in South Africa.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly (NA) will tomorrow at a hybrid plenary session consider the Budgetary Review and Recommendation Reports (BRRRs) of the various departments and government entities.
