Parliament, Tuesday, 7 April 2019 – The Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture, Ms Beauty Dlulane, has noted with sadness the passing of Ms Vinolia Mashego.
V-Mash, as she was popularly known, reportedly passed on at her Pretoria home on Monday.
The committee sends condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased.
Ms Dlulane said: “The entertainment industry has lost a legend. This was a person who defined television and entertainment with her pure talent. So gifted that she did things few could master on a television set.”
Ms Mashego became a legend through her signature youth-programme titled Jam Alley. Although she had gone quiet over the years, she still performed television jobs on Moja Love at the time of her passing.
